Engineering Skill
Under consideration
Redstone engineering is a big part of Minecraft. It would be cool if this add-on could work it into a skill.
Exp gain ideas (trying to choose things related directly to player action instead of like “a piston moves nearby” or whatever):
- Mining redstone ore
- Powering redstone via a lever, button, or pressure plate
- Walking on slime or honey blocks
- Crafting redstone components like repeaters, comparators, pistons, redstone lamps, etc.
- Traveling via minecart over powered rails
Passive:
Chance to craft an extra item when crafting redstone components
Abilities (activate while holding a redstone torch):
- Power touch: Power the block the player is standing on for a short period
- TNT Cannon: Launch a lit TNT forward
- Stasis chamber: Use once to select a location. Consumes an ender pearl. The next time the ability is used, teleport player immediately to the selected location. Location must be reset after each use.
